School of Biblical Studies

**Prerequisite: The successful completion of a DTS (Discipleship Training School).

The School of Biblical Studies (SBS) is a 9-month, in-depth inductive study of the Bible with a goal to establish a strong foundation in the Word.

As you learn to observe, interpret, and apply the Bible here at The Kings Lodge you will have the opportunity to engage in discussion with people of various backgrounds. This will help expand your perspective of the world and how the Bible relates to it. It’s a great opportunity to increase your knowledge of the Bible, while also growing in your understanding of the character and nature of God!

Lecture Phase

During your nine months here, you will read all 66 books of the Bible five times through. This thorough study will give you a broad view of the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation.

You will be able to speak knowledgeably on the historical and cultural context, structure, theme, and purpose of each book. As many already have, you will see your life transformed by God and His Word! What’s better, you will be hungry for so much more!

This course aims to transform your life, not just fill your head with facts. It’s a study that aims to shift your thinking, character, relationships, and impact on the world. As you interact with the Author and His living, active Word, you will discover a whole new aspect of God and His purpose for mankind.

Outreach Phase

We recommend an optional three-month outreach following the successful completion of SBS (all three terms), by joining the Titus Project. Titus Project is a valuable time to put your new-found inductive study skills and biblical knowledge into practice. It’s a time to share your experiences with a world that is hungry for the Word of God.
