Discover Nations Seminars

GeoView Study of Genesis

The one-week GeoView Study of Genesis seminar will guide participants through a study of the Biblical book of Genesis from the perspective of both God and human interactions with land.

You will learn the GeoView observation method which highlights physical and human geographic processes in the Bible, revealing important principles related to land and nations that can be applied to world issues today.

Missional Geography

The one-week Missional Geography seminar will give a brief sample of topics in the upcoming 12-week Discover Nations School (DNS).

Modern global issues like conflict, refugees/migration, urbanization, and geopolitics will be explored from the perspective of human interaction over land and space. It will also introduce the students to how the spread of the Gospel is positively or negatively impacted by these human geographic processes, and vice versa.

Seminar Specific Visa Info

Everyone from outside Europe who is coming to serve with us in YWAM England & Wales does need a visa. Even if you are coming for only a few short weeks and your nationally allows you to enter without a visa as a tourist, UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations state that all our workers must obtain visas.

For shorter term seminars, you will come on a different visa to our other schools; on a standard visitor visa (more information here: https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor-visa). For many nations this just means getting your standard visitor visa at the UK border for free, for others it will mean you need to apply for the visa beforehand and pay a fee. Contact our Registrar office at registrar@thekingslodge.org for more information.
