SBS Field Assignment (SBSFA)

Content:

The course is designed to be as flexible as possible and can be between 8 to 12 weeks long. You will arrange the outreach for yourself according to the requirements below, setting the dates and the location. When this is done you present the plan for approval to your field assignment course leader here at The King's Lodge.

This should include the details of location(s), anticipated audiences for teaching, and a basic outline of your schedule.

These details should be returned with the application form. We are able to help you if you need it, in arranging a location. We have openings in Africa and Asia.

The teaching requirements are that you teach/preach on average 2.5hrs/week, for the 8 - 12 weeks. You need to keep a brief daily journal detailing blessings, problems, personal growth, how you think your teaching went, etc.

On the evaluations forms provided you should get feedback from an able person listening to your teaching sessions. This is for your benefit. You should read these and consider any relevant comments for future preparation and delivery of your messages.

There should be between 5-7 evaluations in all. There is a reading assignment for you to complete during the outreach.

Successful completion of an SBS or BCC is a prerequisite for this course, as already mentioned. The credits awarded for the U of N will be 12 credits for the twelve week course. Should the field assignment be shorter, one credit for each week will be awarded. The UoN course code for the SBSFA is CCM 314.

The Field Assignment must be at least 8 weeks in length and can be done in two separate units if desired.
