Narnia has now taken over The King’s Lodge on several occasions. Local school children and visitors to our Winter Wonderland days have gone through the Wardrobe doors into a transformed world of snow and spectacle, with details from CS Lewis’ much-loved stories at every turn. Those who enter can meet Mr Tumnus, explore the Beavers’ home, encounter Aslan and sit on the thrones in Caer Paravel.
Local primary school children are invited to consider the lure of temptation and reflect on the things that have power over them as they stumble across Edmund’s Turkish delight. In the Beavers’ home they think about faith and hope, and at the Stone Table they reflect on the power of forgiveness and sacrifice. Finally, at the four thrones, they consider identity, what makes them valuable and the impact they want to have in the world.
On the Move
Aslan is on the move, as the Narnia experience prepares to hit the road. Local church and school folk will be able to visit Narnia in Coventry city centre in February 2017.
