Introduction to Primary Health Care (IPHC)

Overview:

Over 80% of all diseases in developing countries are preventable. This is our passion: to see people's lives transformed through addressing medical needs.

The IPHC's focus is on disease prevention and community health education, although curative skills are also taught.

Our mission is to bring the 'two handed gospel' of Jesus. Our passion is to meet the sometimes desperate health care needs of a community whilst teaching about the love Jesus has for them.

You do not need to be a trained health care professional. If you have a heart to reach the poorest communities on earth, then apply!

The King's Lodge has a focus on the family and so this school also runs a "Child to Child" programme. This programme teaches the children of students how to teach health care to their peers during the outreach phase of the school.

We wish to encourage families to minister together in this field, aiming to equip children as well as their parents with skills they can use.
