School of Biblical Studies On-line Courses
Field Based School of Biblical Studies (fbSBS)
The Field Based School of Biblical Studies (fbSBS) is intended for YWAM staff to participate in a fully-accredited University of the Nations SBS which can be studied part-time at their base or team location. The fbSBS is especially designed for those unable to attend the nine-month residential school.
The fbSBS is ideal for:
- Individual YWAM staff who have a passion to know more of God’s Word and ways.
- Whole teams to work on together or as part of a team training strategy.
- Integrating into existing base training curriculum to provide a dynamic biblical studies element.
The prerequisites for the fbSBS are:
- The successful completion of a DTS.
- Active involvement in a YWAM base or team community.
- Active participation in the base or team worship and intercession times.
- The agreement of the base or team leader to release you for a day a week for the study.
- Access to the internet and email.
It is estimated that about 10 hours a week will be needed to complete the work required; for some this might be more. It is expected that, if the base or team leader releases the student for a day a week, any additional time for the course would need to be found by the student outside of the work day.

e-Learning School of Biblical Studies (e-SBS)
The e-SBS is designed to make Youth With A Mission’s School of Biblical Studies available to those from all walks of life that have hunger for God’s Word and want to engage with it at a deeper level.
It is ideal for:
- Anyone in the Body of Christ who desires to explore the riches of Scripture beyond what they are at present.
- YWAM alumni who want to continue their studies earning University of the Nations credit.
- YWAMers whose circumstances make them unavailable to attend a regular SBS or to participate in the on-line fbSBS. For example those that are on furlough, on sabbatical, or caring for children at home.
- Anyone else that would value some systematic study of the Bible in a supportive on-line community setting.
