Further Training

Further training happens so we can know God better and so that we will grow in knowledge, skill and character.   We want to do missions better, whatever our sphere of influence might be, always reflecting our Saviour in word and deed.

Come to The King’s Lodge to study the Bible with our experienced Biblical Studies team, discover basic health care skills to transform a community, and grow to release and equip the next generation to follow Jesus radically.

YWAM’s University of the Nations provides a modular approach of focused training in all areas and spheres of society.  Each course is designed to prepare the individual to be more effective in communicating God’s love and ways to specific influential areas of society.

The U of N approach to education is based on 2 Peter 1:5-8 which urges development of godly qualities, adding to faith:  moral excellence, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love.  This character development is emphasized through the lectures, assignments, interpersonal relationships, and daily activities from the beginning of the student’s education and throughout every course.

Each course in every Faculty of the U of N is a “multiplier for missions,” serving to increase the workers, resources, and ministries for the mission field.  International in scope, the courses provide cross-cultural training related to the specific educational content, and are designed to be applicable in real-life situations.  Field assignments with cross-cultural experiences for every student are a fundamental feature of the University training programmes.
